Last year I had posted a moleskine sketch called Bacon Bites (Back in May of 2008), and I just realized that I never posted the finished vector art I did for it. I'll have it as a print at the Chicago Comic Con this year. It'll be one of many prints I'll be doin' that'll be My take on the old storybook tales.

    "Return of Teh Sketch-A-Roni's"

Sorry for the lack of Updates lately. I'm goin' through a bit of a transition in Life right now. Havin' said that, I have decided not to let any of it keep Me away from what I LOVE doin'. Makin' and Sharin' My Art and Ideas. I Salute all of You that return here expectin' to see any "New Cartoony Madness".

Whoopsy, is Pooper's Best Pal. And why not? They're like two Peas in a Pod or two Poots in a Potty.

Sometimes, a sketch never makes it into a "sketchbook". Rather, it graces the back of an envelope, a page in the phone book, or even right next to the side items on a menu. This time, it was a sheet of animation paper I had handy. We've got some Barbarian Warriors, a dancin' Weirdo, and Gary from "Jack of Fables" .

That's it for the Sketch-A-Roni's today.

    Here's some News...

Len Kody, Writer and Friend, has brought Me on to work on His Webcomic
  • "Chicago 1968"
  • ...

The place is Chicago. The year is 1968. The Democratic National Convention is coming to the Windy City. And while the Vietnam War enters into it's bloodiest months during the Tet Offensive, America spirals downward into a widening gyre of chaos and social upheaval. In the words of William Butler Yeats, "The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity."

I'm Honored to be considered by Len Kody in continuin' what Jenny Frison started so Beautifully... Click the link at the top of this post or check it out in My Links-a-roni section on the right... My first page is up now...

This One came from Me Seein' some kids bein' Assholes in the Park, while I was walkin' Stella... There's a BIG Difference between Kids Bein' Kids, and Them bein' ShitHeads... This particular group of Miscreants, had it comin' as far as I was concerned...

I Was Havin' a "Heavy Metal" moment in My Head when I sketched this one out...

I Miss the Genre the way it existed back in the 70's and 80's... While the Movie is a bit dated, I can still watch It in It's Entirety without Skippin' Ahead to the next chapter... Hell, the SouthPark Guys Spoofed "Heavy Metal" in that Cat Piss episode (Hilarious By the Way )... Those stories could be about AnyThing, Happenin' AnyWhere... I Guess it's why I find Myself startin' to enjoy European comics more... Hmmm, I'll have to come back and Elaborate on that subject later, when I have a bit more time...

    "MAN!!! That's a HUGE ASS"!!!

Here's a Commission Sketch I did for David Gruba at the Windy City Con 2008... He has a "Star Wars" SketchBook, that He asks Artists to contribute to... So, I saw all the usual characters and Thought I should take on one of the Supportin' Characters... Hence the Gammorean Guard... Well, I Thought it was Funny...

2008 is Gone, and I say "Good Riddance"... While It wasn't all Bad, It was a Life Changin' Year All Around For Me... Hell, for a Lot of People... But We'll Touch on That in Another Post ( Maybe )... I just wanted to Throw some Sketches Up, to start the New Year off here at LRC...

What can I say, I wasn't really Happy with 2008...

This One's a Brushpen Sketch in My SketchBook... My Favorite SuperHero in His Best Costume of all time, Wolverine...

Pretty much what I did with the Previous BatKid Sketches... I took out the background inks, mostly cuz' They Bothered Me in the Colored Version...

Bring Back the Brown and Orange, and Leave It There...

I'll Try to be More Involved this New Year as far as LRC goes...
