Late Night Sketch Postin'...

Here's a "Blasto From El Pasto" ( Well, Not that Old Actually )... I was tryin' to get that 80's Horror/Family Flick Look with this Sketch, ( You Know; Goonies, Monster Squad, Gremlins)... I started Doodlin' around with My Markers, tryin' to get an Autumn Color Palette goin'... In Hindsight, I should've incorporated some bolder colors into it... Like some Purples, Darker Browns, even some Richer Yellows ( Oh well, Live and Learn )... I've had this idea millin' around in My Melon for quite awhile already... Maybe, as I develop it more, I'll post more about it...

Relatively New Sketch, of an Old Character from My AD&D Days... A Ranger that My Friends Steve and Dave had Fun makin' Jump through some Dangerous Hoops... This sketch was a Mini-Homage to Dak's ( Yes, that's His Name ), early adventures that mirrored My inexperience as a Player... Good Times...

Some more Moleskine Sils... Only this time I was goin' for Warriors/Fighters... Not nearly as much fun as the CUCOs' one I posted previously, but this SketchBlog is about the Bad as much as it is the Good... At least that's what I told Myself when I posted this one...

That's it for this Installment of "The Lonely Rice Chronicles"...

>Cue Creepy Organ Music<

Later,

Tony

LOVE the silhouettes! Love them!!! The bottom left one reminds me of something out of Time Bandits.

And the kid at the top is totally Michael Myers fodder!!! Speaking of Michael Myers, I always think of your story of seeing the guy dressed as MM on Halloween standing on the corner after you dropped off... ummm, I can't remember your ex's name right now... and you told him "nice costume" and he turned and just looked at you all psycho-like.

OK, I'm done reminiscing now.

Dude you are becoming a silhouette guru. These are GREAT! Dak LOL I remember you talking about him years ago, i thought he'd be taller! HAHA!

As for that top piece... Can't say I get an IODA (is that how you spell that word, Oh Well!)of Michael Myers or any of the other titles you mentioned. A bit more of a American Greetings or Hallmark card flavor to it in my eyes! Either way they all r superb pieces!

"Time Bandits"??? I Love that Movie... Hell, I Have It...

I can't believe You remember that Halloween story... I can still recall how nervous I felt at that moment...

Gracîas Juan...

I figured practiicin' My Sils would Help make Me be a Better Cartoonist... Then, I just on a Kick... I actually have a Grip of them, I'm savin' for the CUCOS sketchbook... Shhhhh...

Taller?!?
No Way Juanski... I Like My heroes Short and Bad-Ass...

The Kid and Leaves one is just a Segment I saw in My head... Where the Leaves are Fallin' in Slow Motion, while the Kid looks over the Last Piece of His Costume... Lullin' the Viewer into a False Sense of Quiet and Untouched Innocence... So, You actually saw what I wanted You to see in that Sketch... What happens after that, is where It get's Messed-Up...

And for the Record, it's "Iota"... Close, but No Cuban Cigar for You...
