Hey.

So, I am gettin' over one Helluva' Cold/Flu that knocked the Livin' Doo-Doo's outta' Me, and I remembered that I haven't posted anywhere for a minute. And since I'm tryin' to get better at Postin' on a regular basis, here's a Big Shout and Hug for My Gramps who Passed Away 2 years ago today. He's still Awesome to Me.

Here are some character designs and pencilled pages for another short story that I'm workin' on with

Rafael Nieves

. It's a Fun story, I'm lookin' forward to finishin', soon.

These first 2 pages, I was tryin' to get a feel for the Ice Cream Man/Hero and His Ride. As You can see, I tried a few different looks for him.





The next 2 pages have sketches of the Villains/Bullies, their Muscle car, and the Girl who gets caught in the middle of all the action. I'm goin' to have to trim down the look of the bullies, as it's way to hot to be wearin' a sweater and boots. Well, maybe I'll keep the boots.





Here are the pencils for the pages as they stand right now (There's more to come). The pencils are very tight and after any revisions, might stay pencilled. I think I might just clean it up a bit in PS and throw some hues on it ala "Header" style. Still tryin' to figure that out as well.

This One came from Me Seein' some kids bein' Assholes in the Park, while I was walkin' Stella... There's a BIG Difference between Kids Bein' Kids, and Them bein' ShitHeads... This particular group of Miscreants, had it comin' as far as I was concerned...

MERRY CHRISTMAS YA'LL'S!!!

Below are some scans from a Comic I did back in 1996, that went by the name "CHILLIN'S"... It was put out by Moonstone, and it had quite a few Talented Writers and Cartoonists involved (Rafael Nieves, Juan Gomez, Brian Mitchell)... This story in particular, was written by Nick Muntean and Illustrated by Me... Inked with a BIC pen mostly (Cuz' I couldn't Ink with anything else very well a the time)... It's Hard to look at Old Work like this, but it was a Fun project to work on... Also attached, is a page from My sketchbook where I revisited the Characters... I'd LOVE to do another story with these 2 Siblin's, where I can go Totally Nuts... Maybe...

Here's a couple of Development Sketches for another Project Rafael Nieves and I are workin' on... It's a short Horror Story about Kids at Camp... It'll be Black and White, so I'm workin' on usin' My Blacks more Effectively...




After watchin' a string of Noir Films on TCM, I felt the need to revisit an old IP of mine that goes by the name "Chitown"... My take on an Old Gumshoe Detective story...

Okay, so I missed December 1st, 2nd, and most of the 3rd... Friday was totally on me, my BAD... Saturday and Today however, were interrupted by one of my Migraine HeadAches... It has to be one of the worse ones I've had in awhile... Gruesome details aside, I wanted to at least post some sketches this weekend... Here You go...

A Moldie-Oldie from last year... Just some random People Sketch-A-Doodies... A few are cartoony versions of folks I saw throughout that day... The rest, were just from my melon... I threw some gray tones down, so it didn't look so borin'...


A couple of other Cute Animal Designs... Here's a couple of the Elephants I did for that game... I've got a few others around... When I find them, I'll post'em...


Somehow, I got the Musk-Ox on the first try... I know, I was as Surprised as any of You...

I followed this Lady and Her Kids around the Dominicks one day... No, not in a Stalker kinda' way... I was waitin' in line at the atm, and this poor Lady and Her Brood were in front of me... She said, "We're gonna just run in, pick-up some of Mommy's things, and then go... Okay???" ... The Daughter looked like She got dragged into a Haunted House and wanted to leave... The Son on the other hand, looked He was ready to EXPLODE, and said to His Mom, "OKAY!!! Then I get to pick something out for me too, RIGHT???" ... They were both ready to jump outta their skins, but for 2 totally different reasons... I thought that Shit was funny, so I snatched-up the things on my list, and began to look for them in the store... Lo and behold, there they were in the cereal ailse... The Girl tuggin' away at Her Mom's skirt, cryin'... While Jr. was bouncin' up and down, not knowin' what to pick... Bug-Eyed, He started to run in place, until His Mom said, "Well, what're You gonna get???"... He took off runnin', pushed His sister out of the way, and ran straight for the Fruit Loops... She sat on the ground, DumbFounded by what just happened... She quietly got up, looked at Her Mommy, and started cryin' where She left off... Mom looked totally UnAffected, and pushed forward to get the rest of Her, "Mommy Things"... That was enough for me, so I left, came home and doodled this out... I LOVE Grocery Shoppin'...



My head still hurts, so that's wrap on this post... I'll give You guys/girls a better one later...
